Dr. Catalano has a special interest in the area of endoscopic ultrasound and biliary endoscopy and has written more than 200 articles pertaining to endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound published in a variety of medical journals. He has presented numerous lectures at scientific meetings throughout the United States, Canada, South America, Europe and Asia. He is also actively involved in medical research and is co-director of the Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopic Fellowship Training Program at GI Consultants. Dr. Catalano has been director and co-director of several scientific meetings and courses. He is also an associate Editor of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (a leading digestive journal). He has also had the distinction of having been chosen as one of "The Best Doctors in America" and his name has appeared in the Midwest Regional guide of that publication.
